Fiber percentages alone do not define a fabric. Construction, weight basis, surface, finish and the approved physical reference can all change how a garment looks and behaves.
01 · RFQ PREPARATION
Separate composition from construction
Ask for the documented fiber composition and whether the fabric is knit, woven or another construction. Add the specific structure only when it is verified for the material.
02 · RFQ PREPARATION
Record the weight basis
State the requested weight and unit, and ask how the reported value is measured. GSM describes mass per area; it does not by itself prove thickness, warmth, durability or quality.
03 · RFQ PREPARATION
Describe surface and finish
Record brushing, washing, coating, print, dye, texture or other finish as a requested or verified attribute. Use an approved sample or color reference when appearance matters.
04 · RFQ PREPARATION
Request evidence for performance claims
If the buying brief requires shrinkage, colorfastness, stretch, recovery or another property, identify the exact evidence the buyer needs and the product version it must cover.
05 · RFQ PREPARATION
Approve material in context
Evaluate the fabric on the intended garment construction and sample where possible. Record the supplier's material reference and the buyer-approved sample identity.

FINAL CHECK
Keep assumptions out of the purchase record.
Only use product, performance, authorization and commercial claims that can be supported for the exact reference. Record the approved sample, written specification and quotation before placing an order.
